Fall in line or Walk the line- This painting explores the external pressures to conform or rebel against mainstream mediocrity. What it is like to feel like you walk this road alone, and how you have to do some dirty work to move forward and pull yourself out of bad situations. This concept originally made me think of a lone ranger in the desert, like in an old western movie, but with a contemporary feel. Many people have asked me what the tree stump rings represent, and they stand for time. Time and time again, we might have to start over and rebuild, and when that time comes, we put our hat on and start walking forward.
