This small male torso was originally created as a reference model for a stone carving workshop in alabaster in Southern Utah. After carving the piece in stone, I decided to preserve the form by casting it in Hydrocal, along with a female counterpart.

The result is a tactile, sculptural study of the human form, compact yet commanding.
